Joey Elias was his acerbic and improvisational best during his Comedy Night stint at the Chateauguay Legion last Saturday for the benefit of the South-West Dragons girls softball organization. A total of $1,200 was raised, according to Dragons secretary Sandy McLeod.

As usual, there were no sacred cows. Nothing and no one were immune from Elias’ scathing attacks, with his prime targets on this occasion being the Turcotte Yards and stuffy people from England. Very few of his one-liners and anecdotes could be reproduced in a family newspaper, but that’s usually the norm with the King of Comedy.

…Master-of-ceremonies Dan Bingham did a fine job, focusing much of his attention on bees and movies.

Okay so this article has more to do with Joey Elias than me, but hey, if anything sums up my comedy career it’s that last line right there.  You can read the full article written by Dan Rosenburg in the Soleil de Chateauguay here.
